Riu Rau Film Festival 2018

Visit the the Riurau d’Arnauda in Jávea to see the last short films projected as part of this festival

The ‘Riu Rau Film Festival 2018’, born to offer a space for short film makers from all over the world to meet, spread the word and develop, has been on the whole month of September in different Marina Alta towns: Jesús Pobre, Denia and Jávea.

This year, the 7th edition, saw 397 candidate short films from 22 different countries, of which 30 were selected to be screened.

The selected short films were grouped into five genres: general fiction, fiction with social issues focused on gender equality, juvenile fiction, dance film and LGTB fiction.

Programme

Friday 14 20.00. Conference organised by the Oceanogràfic Foundation linking cinema and marine biodiversity.

Friday 14 21.00. General fiction short film screenings.

Saturday 15 21.00. Festival fiction short films and short films produced by Jávea’s ‘Escola de Cinema Riurau de Xàbia’ (cinema school) screenings.
