‘Las Fallas’ of Valencia

‘Las Fallas’ completely overtake the city of Valencia with a huge festival of fire and gunpowder.

The festival, declared by the UNESCO as of International Tourist Interest and Intangible Cultural Heritage, combines satire and art of monuments prepared for the occasion (and then burnt) with tradition, religion, music, shows and gastronomy.

The ‘Fallas’ officially’ begin on Friday with the ‘Plantà’ (setup) of the festival’s monuments and end the following Tuesday with ‘La Cremà’ or burning of these same monuments.

• 14:00: ‘Mascletà’ at plaza del Ayuntamiento de Valencia.
• 17:30: ‘Lectura del veredicto popular y proclamación del Ninot Indultat del 2019’.
• 20:00: Illuminated streets.
• 00:00: ‘L´albà en toda la ciudad’ with Fireworks display at Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
