‘Las Fallas’ of Valencia
‘Las Fallas’ completely overtake the city of Valencia with a huge festival of fire and gunpowder.
The festival, declared by the UNESCO as of International Tourist Interest and Intangible Cultural Heritage, combines satire and art of monuments prepared for the occasion (and then burnt) with tradition, religion, music, shows and gastronomy.
The ‘Fallas’ officially’ begin on Friday with the ‘Plantà’ (setup) of the festival’s monuments and end the following Tuesday with ‘La Cremà’ or burning of these same monuments.

Monday, March 18
- 10:30: Homage to Maximiliano Thous poet, in his monument at the crossroads of Sagunto and Maximiliano Thous streets.
- 12:00: Homage to master Serrano, at his monument at avenida del Reino de València.
- 14:00: ‘Mascletà’ at plaza del Ayuntamiento de Valencia.
- 20:00: Illuminated streets.
- 01:30: ‘Nit del Foc’. Fireworks display at paseo de la Alameda.
