Requena Grape Harvest Fair and Festival
From 22 August to 2 September, 2018, Requena celebrates its ‘Feria y Fiesta de la Vendimia’ (Grape Harvest Fair and Festival)
This year is the LXXI edition of this festival, declared of Tourist Interest in 1966 and one of the oldest and most important of its type in Spain; experience the collective joy felt when contemplating how the first bunches of grapes are trod on.
This festival, with grapes and wine as its main protagonists, has a packed agenda of events ranging from parades, ‘mascletás’ and fireworks to acts of homage to the wine-making tradition of this town such as grape treading, sports activities, the popular ‘noche de la zurra’, medieval market or concerts every night.
From Thursday 23 August to 26 August the FeReVin (Requena wine fair) is on. Again one of a kind in the region and one of the most important of the Costa Blanca; a fantastic showcase of wines, cavas and wine cellars from the Utiel – Requena region. Giving you the opportunity to taste the areas most known wines. If you’re a wine lover, you can’t miss it.
