Discover the ancient tradition of river wood transportation with the ‘Maderada de Cofrentes’

This festival declared of Tourist Interest in the Valencia Community takes place from 26 to 28 April in the Valencian town of Cofrentes.

The event is a recreation of traditional rafts going down the Cabriel River. This tradition was recovered twelve years ago and has become a major celebration.

The festival is rounded off with a large medieval market, dozens of activities and historical recreations, access to the castle and museum, competitions, ‘mascletà’ (load fireworks), giant ‘paella’, regional dances and orchestra music.
