Torrevieja hosts the ‘La Vuelta Ciclista a España’ (international cycling competition) 2019

This popular cycling competition starts on 24 August in Las Salinas de Torrevieja.

This is the sixth time the race starts in Alicante; Benidorm was the starting point three times and Calpe and Orihuela once.

In this 74th edition of the race, there will be at least 3 stages in the Alicante region including a opening time trial and one or two mountain top finishes.

This extraordinary tourist attraction gathers, for a few days, the world’s best cyclists in Alicante province villages and roads and the huge media coverage of ‘La Vuelta a España’, with millions of viewers, entices many people to visit the Costa Blanca.
