This film-screening event takes place from the 18 to 28 October in Valencia’s Babel Cinemas and in the ‘IVC-La Filmoteca de Valencia’.

This 33rd edition of this film festival offers visitors a specially selected programme of high quality titles not usually found in commercial circuits including a whole series of films made in the Mediterranean and not premiered in Spain, as well as two tribute cycles.

The ‘Mostra de València’ also delves French police cinema with the cycle Polar: black series in French , so people can see how French black cinema has evolved from the fifties to the present day, through the work of directors such as Jean-Luc Godard, Jacques Bral, Chabrol, Taverier or Hélène Catet.

New Palestinian cinema also has its place with the cycle Palestine, here and now showing films such as “The reports on Sarah and Saleem” by Muyad Alayan, “Writing on snow” by Rashid Masharawi or “Omar”, one of the films that best portrayed the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, by Hany Abu-Assad.

Individual tickets for each screening can be purchased at the box office for EURO 2.50 or EURO 20 for a voucher to see ten films.
