On Friday, 17 June, at 23:00, the tenth edition of this event will be held on the façade of El Corte Inglés in Alicante, where light, gunpowder, sound and fire take center stage.

It is a pyromusical show lasting about ten minutes in which 40,000 grams of gunpowder will be fired and which will come with a sound load of 60,000 watts distributed at various points and with moving heads of 30,000 watts of lighting, ensuring that around from the Plaza de la Estrella the show is homogeneous and experienced in the same way for all attendees.

The programme of official acts of the Hogueras of San Juan includes seven such mascletás that compete to be awarded first prize, from June 18 to 24 at 14:00 from the Plaza de Los Luceros.

Those days thousands of people will gather around the central Alicante square to enjoy the loud sound and rhythm of the explosions of this powerful firecracker display (mascletás).

And from June 25 to 29, starting at midnight, spectacular firework displays will be launched and can be seen from Alicante’s Postiguet beach (with a minimum duration of fifteen minutes).

These ‘Fiestas de Moros y Cristianos’, declared of International Tourist Interest, are celebrated from 22 to 24 April in the town of Alcoy.

A succession of events take place during three days, such as the Moorish and Christian entrance , the ‘Diana Vespertina’ (parade), the ‘Procesión General’ and the Moorish and Christian embassies.

These festivities take place in Agost (Alicante) from 26 December to 1 January.

Enjoy these dances every day (except 31 December 31) at 5:30 pm. In these dances the ‘danseros’ (18 year old dancers) wear traditional costumes and dance in the town’s main square.

The ‘dolçaina i tabalet’ (traditional) music takes centre stage in this festival; its rhythm marking the beginning and end of each dance.

It will be at the Rabasa exhibition area in Alicante with its traditional fair attractions, music, lights and plenty of cotton candy!

The fair will have a maximum 50% capacity. Other security measures put in place are hydroalcoholic gel dispensers and continuous disinfection after every use.

On 10 and 11 March, visitors won’t miss out on horchata (chufa milk) or orange juice, as thousands of litres will be handed out for free next to Valencia’s Plaza de Toros (bullring).

With the aim of promoting these typically Valencian products over a thousand litres of freshly squeezed natural orange juice will be handed out on Tuesday and of Horchata on Wednesday.

This activity starts around 12.00 finishing around 14.00 to coincide with the ‘mascletás’ (load fireworks) set off in the Town Hall square.

The event will be animated with music by Valencian djs and tourist information about the province of Valencia will be distributed.
