The urban hiking routes will take place on alternate weekends from 27 March to 4 June.

The programme includes six guided environmental itineraries that will cover different natural areas of the city of Alicante.

The activity is free and aimed at the general public. Prior registration and confirmation of the place by the organisers is required.

The duration of the routes varies between two and four hours, depending on the kilometres and route. It is advisable to wear sports shoes and comfortable clothing, as well as water and sun protection.

Make the most of your weekends and enjoy these hiking routes until the end of June in different municipalities of the l’Alcoià-Comtat area.

These organised hikes take visitors around the main sites of the participating towns and villages, whilst also offering an experience in the places visited through gastronomy, culture, crafts or outdoor activities.

Hikes are guided and will have a price of €6, and normally start at the town hall of each participating town. Visitors must register in advance.

The Alcoy route will last all day, on April 3, and will be related to cave art and modernism, with a visit to the Sarga site, the Camil Visedo Moltó Archaeological Museum and, in the afternoon, visits to the most emblematic places of the Route of Modernism.

On May 28, the program will reach Beniarrés and Cocentaina, with a morning visit to the Cova de l’Or Interpretation Center and its site and, in the afternoon, the Palau Comtal and the Anti-Aircraft Shelter.

On June 19 it will be the turn of Banyeres de Mariola and the route “The trade of l’espardenya and the paper industry”, with morning and afternoon activities to get to know the Museu de l’Espardenya, the Museu Valencià del Paper, the castle and, in the afternoon, walk the Route of the Mills.

This is the sixth consecutive year La Nucía hosts a national rally. This year it is the twelfth round of the “Supercampeonato de España de Rallyes” (Spanish rally superchampionship).

The rallye will run through 35 mountain municipalities of Alicante, with a total of 526 kilometres, of which 151 will be of competition in 9 spectacular sections.

“Safe sporting” is ensured for all with all safety and health protocols put into place.

Thrilling car race ‘Subida a Les Revoltes d’Ibi’ in Ibi (Alicante) this weekend.

On 23 and 24 October Ibi, known as the ‘town of toys’ as many toy manufacturers are traditionally based there, will be at the centre of Spain’s motor racing enthusiasts attention this weekend.

This almost five km long race, which is valid for the Spanish Mountain Cup, will be over 50 participating teams.

The race starts in the town itself following the road that connects Ibi with Alcoy and Banyeres (CV-801).

The routes of the “Respira Natura” programme aim to promote physical and heath and emotional wellbeing through contact with the closest nature: the greenway, beaches, parks, promenades and agricultural areas.

The level of all the walks is easy and anyone in normal health can participate.

The walks, scheduled during the months of October, November and December, take place on Thursday mornings and are limited to groups of 12 people, so prior registration is required, which can be formalised by sending an email to deniaviva@ayto-denia.es.

This is the most representative stage race in the province and one of the most outstanding at regional and national level. The best cycling teams in the elite U-23 category, the previous stage to professional cycling, participate.
