Visit this outdoor exhibition and its street market every day from 1 to 16 August from 18:00 to 01:00 in Almirante Antequera Street, next to the Castle-Fortress of Santa Pola (Alicante).

The exhibition includes a wide variety of insects, gems, fossils, shells and minerals. Visitors will be able to contemplate an endless number of semi-precious and precious stones, fossil minerals, amber-wrapped insects and sea shells.

Stalls from countries around the world display and sell their products and crafts, including fossil pieces, salt lamps and even marble pieces with fossils embedded in them.

‘Tapeix’ is a gastronomic competition to promote fish (“peix”) landed every day by sailors at Santa Pola port.

From February 28 to March 18, twelve local restaurants will offer tapas (including many fish based ones) at EUR 2 per tapa.

Visitors may take part in a tapas competition by consuming a minimum of 10 tapas and stamping a special leaflet for the occasion each time. A total of 12 lunches or dinners for two people, one offered by each participating establishment, will be awarded.

The event, one of the most important of its kind in the world, is on in Santapola and the island of Tabarca (Alicante) from 17 to 19 May 2019.

Not only will the world’s best athletes take part in the ‘World Sup Festival Costa Blanca’, but there will also be some 800 athletes competing in the ‘Amateur’ and ‘Semi-professional’ categories.

Stand Up Paddle (SUP) is all the rage now as it sparks much interest. it is not only easy to learn but also a great way to get into shape.

Over the course of the weekend visitors may also take part in SUP lessons for beginners, masterclasses, conferences and talks. Dance performances, concerts, skate park exhibitions, a capoeria workshop and pilates and zumba classes on the beach make this an unforgettable event.

El evento, una de las pruebas más importantes a nivel mundial, tendrá lugar del 17 al 19 de Mayo del 2019 en la localidad alicantina de Santa Pola y en la isla de Tabarca.

El Stand Up Paddle (SUP) es el deporte de moda, despertando gran interés no sólo por su sencillez para iniciarse sino también por los grandes aportes físicos que proporciona su práctica.

El “World Sup Festival Costa Blanca”, además de contar las principales estrellas de este deporte a nivel mundial, tiene prevista la participación de unos 800 deportistas que competirán en las modalidades “Amateur” y “Semi-profesionales”.

Además el evento recogerá durante todo el fin de semana clases de iniciación al SUP, masterclass, conferencias y charlas. Pero el ocio no acaba aquí, sino que habrá actuaciones de danza, conciertos, exhibiciones de skate park, taller de capoeria y clases de pilates y zumba en la playa, entre otras muchas actividades.

Enjoy a lovely evening in this family-orientated 24 000 m2 amusement park in Santa Pola (Alicante) located just in front of Santa Pola’s salina (salty marsh area).

From the Cape of Santa Pola and more specifically from its lighthouse, one can dream of distant marine voyages, visit the Island of Tabarca as a bird’s eye or peer into the distant capital of the province, the city of Alicante, plunged into its bustle.

On the slopes of the mountain that forms this rather rounded cape, there is a length of unique beaches in its landscape, with stretches with few agglomerations and not always equipped with all the services or the expected accesses, but impressive, special and beautiful.

From the saltworks of Santa Pola located to the south of the cape to the north and declared a Natural Park, the opportunities for intimacy with the sea, the sand, the rock and the splendid climate are varied.

Thus we find the Pinet beach, surrounded by dunes and a salt exploitation visible from away by the huge mountains of salt that glisten in the distance: the paradise of the phoenix, flamingos, which rises from its own ashes; the Egyptian sacred bird par excellence; the domain of anatids and waders.

From the lighthouse towards the north but transiting the shore of the sea is the cala de l’Aljup, decorated in the sky by the color of a multitude of paragliders that catapulted from the top of the sierra looking for a happy landing at the edge of the sea.
