This craft and trades fair takes place in the small mountain town of Tibi (Alicante) from 25 to 27 October.

Around 25 stalls will be set up around the town at La Alameda, Era del Teular, La Glorieta or the Passeig de la Santa, with typical local products and author’s crafts.

Several local groups will enliven the fair with traditional music and dances. There will be workshops for the youngest as well as a toy and board game area as well as some small fair rides and attractions.

In addition, on Saturday 26 October, the group Muixeranga d’Alacant will organise a workshop and a ‘torres humanas’ (human towers) demo.

Tibi ‘opens its doors’ by offering a series of conferences and activities to commemorate such an important milestone; 425 years of history and the town’s identity symbol.

The construction of the reservoir was completed in 1594. At the time it was the most important reservoir not only in Europe but in the world, standing at over 40 metres and with a capacity of between 4 and 5.4 million cubic metres.

Today the reservoir is the oldest working dam in Europe and was declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1994.

This small town celebrates its patron saint from 14 to 25 July.

The main event, the traditional ‘Entrada de vacas’ (bulls enter the town running up the entrance street together), declared event of local interest, takes place on Sunday 21 July at 12:00 starting at the town’s entrance.

Another typical event, the ‘Suelta de vaquillas’ (bulls are let loose around the town streets), takes place from Sunday to Friday morning, afternoon and evening.

In addition, other activities are programmed, such as parades, concerts, dances, children’s performances and fireworks.
