In this 14th edition, ‘Circarte’ continues with the aim to impulse and promote contemporary circus. The festival maintains its commitment to juggling, acrobatics and shows for all audiences, which are often combined with dance, theatre and music.

This year ‘Circarte 2023’ programme features more than twenty shows from fifteen national and international companies who will travel and perform a variety of disciplines.

Also, parallel activities are scheduled such as workshops, exhibitions, parades and screenings.

The 17 stalls selected contribute to the bohemian atmosphere that characterises the old town of Altea, surrounded by summer terraces and countless restaurants.

The first edition of this event takes place 20 to 29 November in Altea’s Casa de Cultura

This international festival, “Series Nostrum”, is dedicated to the world of series, especially Mediterranean ones. Activities organised include meetings, round table sessions, four cycles of screenings under the titles “Para no dormir” (to not sleep), “Produciendo Series” (Production), “Series y Turismo” (series and tourism) and “Creadoras” (creators). On this occasion, for health and safety reasons, a hybrid combination of face-to-face and online options has been chosen.

From 2 to 12 October, residents and visitors can enjoy this gastronomic proposal in Altea.

In this edition, fifteen premises (bars and restaurants) take part, offering tapas at popular prices over the course of eleven days.

The price of the tapas (with the drink included) will be 3 euros. Each establishment will participate in the event with two different tapas: one with typical autumn products and another one free style.

This initiative aims to support the hotel industry in Altea as well as publicise the municipality’s tourist attractions.

Expert diver Rafa Martos has published a pioneering guide in Spain that includes 53 snorkelling routes. The selected trails are not crowded and can be discovered just by swimming peacefully around. Marvel at the world of craft beer by the hand of ‘Althaia Artesana’ beer and visit its brewery in Altea (Alicante).

Discover just how this beer is made, from grain milling until it is lovely and cold in a glass ready to be drunk. Appreciate the difference between artisan and industrial beers and find out all about some of the different varieties of beer produced there.

The Althaia Artesana brewery offers two types of visits:

• Simple guided tour: free visit of the brewery with an explanation about the craft beers.
• Tasting visit + food pairing: includes the guided tour and a tasting and food pairing of four beers with cheese.

The tasting + food pairing visit costs EUR 15 per person and needs to be booked in advance.
